The Business Side of Music: Official Podcast of the 2024 RockGodz Hall of Fame Awards

Nashville, TENN —  The Business Side of Music podcast series has been announced as the official podcast show for the 2024 RockGodz Hall of Fame Awards. The event will be held on March 21st in Cleveland Ohio at The Music Box Supper Club, and will honor such rock legends as “The James Gang” featuring Jimmy Fox, Dale Peters, and Joe Walsh, along with Michael Stanley, and Henry LoConti, Sr., Legendary Cleveland Ohio Agora Club Owner. Additional honorees are expected to be announced.

The mission of Rock Godz Hall of Fame is to acknowledge the contributions of the many stunningly gifted musicians and music industry professionals who may have flown under the radar, yet have delivered to the world music that orchestrates the soundtrack of our lives. Past honorees including rock band Vanilla Fudge, Pat Travers, Mike Curb, Rudy Sarzo, Steve Vai, Benny Mardones, and Steve Lukather just to name a few.

The Business Side of Music is the exclusive podcast to cover the event in Cleveland, including exclusive interviews with the current members of the RockGodz Hall of Fame, as well as this year’s inductees.

“We’ll be releasing the interviews (both audio podcast and video webcast) after the event,” says Bob Bender, host of the award-winning podcast. Episodes are expected to be released beginning April 2, 2024. The program streams on Apple, Spotify, Amazon, Google and may other podcast platforms. It consistently appears atop lists of the most listened-to music industry podcasts, ranked in the Top 10 with more than 300,000 listeners worldwide. Bender is a longtime music industry executive with credentials in multiple entertainment disciplines.

ABOUT BOB BENDER
Spanning nearly 50 years as a successful executive in the music entertainment industry, Bob Bender has worked in almost every facet of the music business. His outstanding accomplishments include producing over 300 tours, festivals, and concerts throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Mexico, and Japan, along with managing and working at multiple record labels.

As a Tour Manager, Bob was a part of the 1989 Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band tour, along with representing such artists over the years, including Billy Preston, Dwight Twilley, Lisa Lisa & the Cult Jam, Rick Derringer, Edgar Winter, A Flock of Seagulls, Mark Lindsay, heavy metal act Anvil, the 1990 New Kids on The Block tour, and the legendary Gene Pitney among so many others.

While Manager of Artist Development for Curb Records, Bob represented such artists as Tim McGraw, LeAnn Rimes, Jo Dee Messina, and Hank Williams Jr. He oversaw Curb’s Christian retail segment helping develop it into a million-dollar division which led him to become Curb’s Director of Sales for the label.

After leaving Curb Records, Bob went on to represent legendary Michael Martin Murphey’s record label, WestFest Records. Under Bob’s direction, Murphey re-released his 1970’s hit single “Wildfire” with popular country group Lonestar. Murphey’s new mix made its way to mainstream radio after an absence of over 20 years with 400+ plays by country radio stations as well as being featured on CBS’s Late Night with David Letterman.

Other television career credits include promotions and infomercial marketing campaigns for various country, pop, and Christian artists. Bob produced, co-produced, and marketed numerous concert DVD projects, including Johnny Cash’s brother Tommy Cash’s Fade to Black concert special.

A sought-after speaker and podcaster, Bob speaks on the business aspects of the music industry at various industry and consumer events including Canada’s annual Indie Week, the Ultimate Music Business Summit, Smartist U, and Podfest, the world’s largest annual podcast convention featuring over 70 speakers from around the world.

In addition to hosting the hit podcast show “The Business Side of Music”, which has been ranked as one of the Top 7 music industry podcast shows to listen to by Spotify, and has over 300,000 listeners in 120 Countries around the world, he’s also producing other podcast shows, including “2 Dudes Talk Money and Music” and the hit podcast series “War Paint with Lorrie Morgan”. He’s currently in development on a 3rd podcast series titled “Stories My Father Told Me” which he will be co-producing with his daughter Erin to coincide with his upcoming book.

The ROCKGODZ Hall of Fame is proud to announce their 2024 awards show in Cleveland, Ohio March 21, 2024, at the legendary Music Box Supper Club, 1148 Main Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113. This event will honor some of Cleveland’s most influential local musicians and industry leaders.

The Inductees include members of the James Gang, Jimmy Fox, Dale Peters, and Joe Walsh.  Also being inducted are members of Beau Coup, Frank Amato, Tom Amato, Bill March, Dennis Lewin, Billy Sullivan, and Don Krueger.   Other local celebrities Neil Zaza, Buddy Maver, Lisa Dillon, and Charlie Wiener will be honored at the event.  RockGodz is also proud to induct in memoriam Michael Stanley of the Michael Stanley Band and Henry (Hank) LoConti Sr., founder of the infamous Agora concert club in Cleveland.  RockGodz Hall of Fame has entered a new phase for its award shows in traveling to main streets across the nation to honor local rock and roll icons and influencers in their home states. 

Rock and roll legends will honor their own during a celebration of music with passion and talent at its core, bringing recognition to individual musicians who built the legacy of rock music. All RockGodz Hall of Fame inductees are selected by inductee alumni, their peers, which continues to make the organization highly respected by the music community. This year’s Event will include an Award Show and live musical performances from the RockGodz Hall of Fame band featuring Akron/Cleveland’s own Freddie Salem, Beau Coup, Neil Zaza and LoConti.  The event will be a night of music and celebration of some of Ohio’s best!
